Alliance for Full Participation - Many Voices One Vision
about
In December 2003, eleven leading organizations serving people with developmental disabilities officially joined together to form the Alliance for Full Participation, LLC. Their objective was and remains, the full realization of its vision—people with developmental disabilities living meaningful, productive and personally satisfying lives in their community of choice. In December 2005, the AFP hosted a successful Summit in Washington, DC that brought together over 2,400 people to create an action agenda to achieve this vision. In the summer of 2008, the founding members reconvened and determined that AFP should continue as a group of organizations committed to the full participation of people with developmental disabilities in community life. Current members of the Alliance for Full Participation include: AFP is united in its commitment to the successful inclusion of people with developmental disabilities into the mainstream of American life. By bringing together the many voices in our organizations dedicated to this cause, we will work together to make this vision a reality.
